I have been a Board Certified pediatrician for more than 10 years. I have worked on the Windward side of O'ahu for most of those years. I have had the wonderful opportunity to have my own practice, to work with the military and their families, and in the nursery at Castle Medical Center. I enjoy making kids healthy and empowering parents.
My mission is to provide care and information to families with an ill child in a place that is the most comfortable for them--their own home. I, too, have stayed up with a croupy child in my arms in the dead of night but because of my training I was confident in my home treatment AND I knew what to look out for if things got worse and emergency treatment at an ER was needed. I would like to provide every family I encounter with this kind of confident knowledge. This doesn't often happen in a standard 5-10 minute visit in an office. After a home visit and evaluation by me, I not only hope your child feels better, but you as the parents or caretakers of that child understands what is going on and how to take excellent care of the acute illness, and maybe most importantly, how to recognize when things get worse and what to do about it.
